A Day in a life of a Student - Parent: My Everyday Routine as a single-mom
A life of a Student-Parent:
My Everyday Routine as a Single mom
Hello everyone! I know some of you already had an idea on how a single mom handle to take care her child while schooling.
Well, after school I used to clean up my son's mess.
Well, it's really challenging.
As a mom of a 2 yr. Old boy, every morning I used to woke up early around 5:00.
Sometimes, It's hard to get up while my son is still sleeping because sometimes I just realized that.. Oh this poor kid, he wakes up in disappointment crying looking for me.
It's just that we used to get up together, have some walk outside while the sun is shining, we should have breakfast together and have some mother and son bonding.
But reality hits me.
Sometimes, when I have to take a bath already I hear my son upstairs, crying looking for me so I have to go to him and fed him breast milk, then after that he fell asleep again then I'll continue taking my time preparing to go to school.
While I'm at school my mom used to take care of my son.
Even she's also busy preparing for her Inihaw business.
I'm really taking a hard time on how I manage my time.
Sometimes, I became late on attending to my classes. But I didn't regret such things because atleast I did my job as a mom for my son before I go to school.
After a whole tiring day at school, My son greeted me with a smile on his face, he gets in my E-bike then we will have a ride around our Barangay because my son loves motor riding.
And when we got home, he carry some of my things to help me.
He's such a sweet boy that makes me feel blessed.
Well, after school I used to clean up my son's mess.
Spilled water on the floor, my pair of shoes unorganized, and the toys are messed up everywhere in our room.
Then, after doing all of those things I have to feed and bathe my son before bed.
And that's my everyday routine, but sometimes I get home late and find out that my child already asleep. So I proceed to do things I have to finish, like home works.
Those are some sacrifies that a student-parent will do.
Time management,
lack of time for the child,
no proper bonding and communication.
But despite all of that I know someday all of my sacrifices will pay off.
All the hard work I've put in, this is also for my child's future.
I am here to give hope and to inspire
all of my readers specially those single parents out there like me.
I know we all have different ways on how to support our child. But I know after all of those sacrifices pays off.
We would be proud of ourselves.
I am also informing everyone, especially the teenagers who might have lost their way, that they should not give in to temptation and should think about what is best for their future, follow your parents and not be hasty in making decisions in life.
Because I know to myself, it's hard and it is better to have family if you are already stable.
Thankyou!
